Bringing the Vision to Life: Matariki 2024

As we move into the second phase of our commissioning round, Toi Hourua is in the process of selecting an artist/arts organisation from round 1 to bring their proofs of concept to full fruition. This next step is about expanding the boundaries of digital art, creating an immersive experience that deeply engages with the themes of Matariki and resonates with audiences in Aotearoa and worldwide. The selected project will exemplify the merging of traditional narratives and modern digital expression, offering a new way to experience and understand the cultural significance of Matariki.
