Matariki Commissioning Round
In the first round of our commissioning process, we extended an invitation to digital artists to submit proposals that interpret the Matariki theme through innovative digital formats. Four exceptional projects were selected to receive seed funding, aimed at developing proofs of concept that harness technology to convey the essence of Matariki. This opportunity encouraged artists to create digital-first experiences, making the rich traditions and narratives of Matariki accessible to a global audience via personal mobile devices.
